Should I use Flowgen or Higgsfield?

Pick Higgsfield if you want Soul ID, Cinema Studio or the preset library, if you work from a phone or a borrowed machine, or if one generation at a time is all the job needs. Pick Flowgen if the work is a repeatable pipeline rather than a single shot, if you want Higgsfield models in the same graph as Veo and Nano Banana, or if you would rather buy API balance than a subscription whose credits expire each month. Use both which is reasonable. Train the character in Higgsfield, then build the campaign around it on the canvas.

What does Higgsfield do better than Flowgen?

Soul ID. You can train a character on a face and keep it consistent across a campaign. Flowgen cannot do this at all. Cinema Studio, motion control, video edit and extend, reference-to-video. Flowgen has no node with the right inputs for any of them. The presets. Higgsfield ships hundreds of named looks and camera moves, and browsing them is faster than writing the prompt yourself. It is a website. Nothing to install, nothing to code-sign, and it works on a phone in a taxi. New Higgsfield models appear there first. Flowgen picks them up when the catalogue is next synced.

The same Higgsfield models sit beside Veo, Kling and Nano Banana on one canvas, so a shot can cross providers without a download in the middle. You pay an API balance per run instead of a monthly allowance, so an unused month costs nothing and a busy one is not capped. The dollar cost of a run shows on the node before you press it. A Brand Kit built from a URL, and @ to drop a brand photo or colour into any prompt. An MCP server, so Claude or Codex can build and run the graph for you. Workflows and outputs stay in a local database on your machine.
